How Grith works

Events, then stays

Meet people at a gathering in your city. Vouch in person. Hosts open a date window; guests request only those dates. No unsolicited requests, which removes most of the spam-and-creep surface.

Standing, not money

You accrue standing by hosting, running events, guiding, moderating, translating, or vouching. High-demand hosts see requests ordered by contribution. Standing cannot be bought — not with a subscription, not with a donation. Non-hosts earn through the other paths. The band is coarse, never a leaderboard, and mostly invisible until it affects you.

Verification is free

Identity verification is mandatory to host or to request, and we pay for it. We do not sell safety.

Safe Exit

One button, any hour: we book and pay for a hostel bed immediately. No explanation required. Investigated after the fact.

Honest cities

A city opens at 50 responsive hosts. Until then you see the real count. Availability expires. Silence removes you from search.
